Jen Read, of Jen Read Photography, is a native New England photographer. She grew up with a family history of photography and videography. At an early age she learned to use a camera and to appreciate art.

 
      Jen’s photography education began in High School, attending Chariho Career And Technical Center. She went on to further her education at Rhode Island College, receiving a double Bachelor’s Degree with “Cum Laude” status in Photography and Graphic Design in 2010.


    In past years, Jen has participated in the Featured Focus Gallery Show in 2011, showcasing a series of black and white landscape photographs shot on medium format film. She has been a wedding second shooter for RMG Photography LLC, Simply You Photography, and Classic Photographers.


     Jen has an antique camera collection and enjoys shooting both on her digital cameras (Nikon D810 & Nikon D7100)and film cameras. Her primary focus is on weddings, couples portraits, and family portraits. She loves making and preserving memories for her clients.

-She is a romantic and enjoys preserving memories for couples in love. Weddings are her favorite subject to shoot. She enjoys bringing elements of creativity and fun to her couples photos

-She is an animal lover- Dogs and horses in particular! She grew up around horses, rabbits, dogs, and chickens. Jen now has a Boston Terrier named "Guinness" who is following in late Harley's footsteps of being an amazing dog.

-Her other artistic interests include landscape photography, graphic design, and painting

​

-She loves being outdoors and near the ocean. Hiking and camping are two activities she enjoys

​

-Cooking! Jen has a passion for cooking and creating new dishes

​
